Learning Support Assistant

Location: Kingston, London Position: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role: A welcoming and forward-thinking school in Kingston is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support that enables every learner to make steady progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Assist in delivering adapted and engaging learning activities.
  • Support children with emotional development, social skills, and personal care when required.
  • Help pupils with literacy, numeracy, and general classroom participation.
  • Observe pupil progress and share insights with teachers and families.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a supportive or educational setting is beneficial.
  • A genuine desire to help young learners reach their potential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Level 2/3 TA qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
