This is a long-term, permanent position starting in September 2026 in a primary school. The role requires a reliable, patient practitioner who can support pupils with additional needs from day one, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay settled, focused and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN, ASD, speech and language needs, or EHCP-linked support
• Work in class, in small groups, or 1:1 depending on pupil need
• Help create calm routines and provide consistent classroom support
• Support learning while avoiding turning into generic cover

Qualifications and Attributes

• Previous school, SEN, care, childcare, or youth work experience
• Calm, steady, reliable approach
• Good communication with teachers and pupils
• Patient approach with pupils who need extra time and consistency

• Pay: £90 - £105 per day
