Are you passionate about helping children and young people develop their communication skills and reach their full potential?

We are working with a fantastic specialist school in Brentwood that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team from September.

This specialist setting supports pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to develop their confidence, communication, and independence. The school works closely with speech and language therapists and other professionals to deliver tailored support, enabling pupils to access learning and achieve their individual goals.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide personalised support both in and out of the classroom. You will help pupils develop their speech, language, and communication skills through structured interventions, engaging activities, and consistent encouragement, while promoting their social and emotional development.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SLCN, SEND, or additional learning needs
  • Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about helping children build confidence and overcome barriers to learning
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive school that is committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential. The school also offers excellent training and ongoing professional development for staff looking to build a career in specialist education.

If you're looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position; in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
