Learning Support Assistant - SEND School - Benfleet - Immediate Start
Protocol Education are working with a specialist SEND school in Benfleet that is looking for resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to support teenagers and Post-16 learners with complex needs.
Many of the students require individualised support to help them navigate the school day, regulate their emotions and develop independence. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to provide consistent, structured support throughout the day.
The Role- Supporting teenagers and Post-16 learners with complex needs
- Providing personalised support to help students stay engaged with their learning
- Helping young people regulate emotions and manage challenging situations
- Working closely with teachers and therapists as part of a supportive team
- Encouraging independence and confidence in daily routines
- Calm, patient and resilient individuals
- Confident supporting young people who may find the world around them challenging
- Team players who can follow support plans and adapt when needed
- Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching or similar settings is beneficial

Working HoursMonday to Friday 9:00am - 3:15pm (term time only)
One staff meeting per month until approximately 4:30pm
£90 - £100 per day depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
