Learning Support Assistant - Primary SEN Provision

Role Overview

Aspire People is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support a new primary SEN provision, offering a fantastic opportunity to help shape a nurturing and inclusive learning environment from the very beginning.

This setting supports primary-aged pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support


• Supporting pupils with learning, emotional regulation, and social skills


• Assisting pupils to access the curriculum in a meaningful way


• Supporting sensory needs and structured routines


• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals


• Supporting personal care where required

Experience

• SEN or SEMH support


• Education, childcare, or school settings


• Youth work, care, or residential support


• Supporting vulnerable children or young people

Requirements

• A calm, patient, and resilient approach


• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills


• Flexibility and commitment
