Overview

We are working with a primary school in Homerton, Hackney to fill a Learning Support Assistant role. This is a steady, long term, permanent position beginning in September 2026. The role requires a reliable, patient individual who can support pupils with additional needs from day one, working closely with the class teacher to keep pupils settled, focused and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN, ASD, speech and language needs or EHCP linked support.
• Work in classroom, small groups or one to one sessions depending on pupil need.
• Create calm routines and provide consistent classroom support.
• Support learning without becoming generic cover.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in school, SEN, care, childcare or youth work.
• Calm, steady and reliable approach.
• Strong communication skills with teachers and pupils.
• Patience and ability to work with pupils who need extra time and consistency.

Benefits

• Pay: £90 - £105 per day.
• Location: Homerton, Hackney (E5 8QH).
