Job Description

We are looking for a talented Lead TypeScript Backend Engineer to join a senior-level team building and scaling high-performance backend systems for complex data tooling. We are an agile, high-impact team (operating like a startup but backed by a global company) reimagining spreadsheets and inventing the next generation of business-critical data tools.

Job Duties
  • Build and scale backend systems supporting a spreadsheet-like interface and various data integrations.
  • Optimize high-performance systems for large data sets and scalability.
  • Take full, end-to-end ownership of features from design and implementation to launch and support.
  • Translate functional requirements into clean, performant, and maintainable code.
  • Influence technical architecture, infrastructure, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and product teams to deliver features.
Ideal Background
  • Strong backend expertise with TypeScript (Node.js), Postgres, and Redis.
  • Proven experience in fast-paced startup environments (Seed through Series B), prioritizing agility and ownership.
  • Background working on large data sets or complex spreadsheet-like interfaces (this is not a simple CRUD application role).
  • A proactive mindset with comfort handling ambiguity and driving progress.
  • Ability to demonstrate end-to-end ownership of features and technical design.
  • Track record of writing clean, highly performant code while moving quickly.
