Second Chef 
Role Overview: Lead the kitchen operation, create nutritious, diet sensitive menus, and manage staff to maintain high food safety standards.
- Develop and plan menus that meet resident dietary needs.
- Lead the team during the Head Chef's absence.
- Manage stock control and adhere to food cost guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
- Train, supervise, and develop kitchen staff.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds/BTEC or equivalent catering diploma.
- NVQ 2/3 in practical cookery.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
- Experience in a high paced kitchen, preferably in a care setting.
- Knowledge of nutritionally balanced menu planning.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
