Overview

West Midlands based Legionella Consultancy with a longstanding team of engineers and risk assessors is currently recruiting a motivated and driven Lead Remedial Engineer. The role will involve a mix of client services and hands on remedial tasks. Applicants should have a strong water treatment/legionella background and be confident in a client facing role where they use technical knowledge to provide ongoing consultancy advice. Industry qualifications such as the G3 ticket are advantageous, but we accept applications from those who demonstrate varied experience of remedial works.

Experience & Qualifications

• City and Guilds / NVQ L2 or higher in plumbing.
• G3 unvented ticket.
• Lead Remedial / Remedial Engineer experience with a reputable Water Hygiene / Legionella company.
• Excellent practical knowledge of HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and strict guideline adherence.
• Personable and professional client and colleague interactions.
• IT literate.

The Role

• Deadleg removals.
• Fault finding on site, rectifying issues promptly.
• Removing, rerouting, and replacing copper and PVC pipework.
• Site attendance to check plumbing work and sign off upon completion.
• Carry out cylinder installations.
• CWST refurbishments and installations.
• Expansion valve installations.
• Work in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Oversee and supervise a team of remedial engineers.
• Produce detailed reports upon completion of work.
• Review colleagues' reports before sending to clients.
• Liaise with clients, providing technical support and advice based on site findings.
• Conduct training with new and existing clients.
• Present Legionella Awareness courses to clients.
• Maintain ongoing quality control requirements, LCA registration.
• Upsell company services to clients.
