About the role:

• Lead delivery of Regulatory assurance to ensure compliance for both manufacturing and sale markets globally.
• Provide expert regulatory guidance and risk assessments to advise the business on opportunities and risks.
• Influence legislation to support optimal outcomes for brands and reputation.
• Establish standard processes for liquid compliance management, aligning with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.
• Build capabilities by leading improvements and transformations in beverage categories supporting Innovation and Brand Change agendas.
• Provide technical support for formulation, labeling, and claims to ensure regulatory compliance. Deliver awareness training to key partners.
• Monitor compliance through data collection, insights development, and monthly reporting.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Product Compliance Delivery

• Lead product compliance efforts across regions and categories.
• Identify opportunities for compliance optimization during innovations, renovations, and integrations.

Horizon Scanning

• Lead scanning for regulations impacting Diageo products, assessing risks and opportunities, and planning actions.

Regulatory Compliance Management

• Create and maintain regulatory position papers and guidance documents.
• Collaborate with legal and CR teams to define key market requirements.

Regulatory Support

• Provide regulatory expertise to categories, science & technology, and supply chain teams.
• Support markets and production sites with regulatory issues.

Experience / Skills Required:

• Several years' experience in a regulatory role within the consumer goods industry.
• Proficiency in beverage, food, or alcohol laws, documentation, and labeling laws.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience (Food Science, Science, Engineering).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams regionally or globally.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely.
• Strong commercial foresight, business case development, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
