About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Automotive OEM based in the Midlands, seeking a Lead Engineer in Vehicle Engineering on a long-term rolling basis.

Role Responsibilities

• The team is part of Vehicle Engineering and is responsible for vehicle confidence throughout its lifecycle, regardless of location.
• Utilize your engineering experience to lead project management of vehicle programmes and/or technology projects.
• The role may encompass the entire vehicle development lifecycle, from benchmarking and designing solutions with delivery teams to virtual/physical verification and validation phases, leading to Job delivery.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Project managing vehicle or technology programmes.
• Developing solutions for projects and applying technical expertise to incorporate new knowledge into foundational vehicle programs.
• Collaborating with system and component teams to define and maintain cascaded target requirements supporting overall vehicle targets.
• Researching concepts using complex modelling to assess feasibility and cost-effectiveness of new developments and innovations.
• Delivering technical recommendations and reports.
• Conducting benchmarking studies to identify industry best practices, trends, and future directions.
• Leading Subject Matter Expert groups to produce solutions for projects.
