Lead Network Engineer Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support scalable and resilient network infrastructure
Ensure network availability, performance, and security across a global landscape
Lead technical decision-making and architecture reviews within the network domain
Automate operational tasks using tools like Ansible and Scripting languages such as Python
Act as a senior escalation point for complex network issues and incidents
Collaborate closely with platform, infrastructure, and security teams to align network services
Review and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting across all environments
Define best practices and mentor other engineers, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing
Lead Network Engineer Requirements
Deep understanding of enterprise networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.)
Proven experience in network design, routing, switching, and load balancing
Strong knowledge of network security including Firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention
Experience in large-scale, cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
Proficient in automation and Scripting (Ansible, Python, or similar)
Hands-on experience with metrics, monitoring tools, and alerting frameworks
Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset and problem-solving attitude
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor technical teams
