As a Lead Medical Scribe, you will collaborate with applied scientists and product managers to play a key role in shaping the future of AI products at Oracle Health, with an emphasis on understanding customer workflows and bringing in the health industry knowledge to evaluate and analyze the efficacy of the AI solutions.
Responsibilities- Create and iterate on health AI model guidelines that form the requirements of health AI models for clinical documentation
- Participate in customer shadow sessions, gold data and problem understanding sessions to understand user pain points with existing clinical software
- Work alongside science members to bring in medical domain expertise for creating high quality evaluation datasets
- Develop evaluation rubrics for health AI models that accurately represent the value based metrics that are needed to address user pain points
- Perform manual evaluation of health AI models according to the model guidelines and evaluation rubrics
- Knowledge of medical terminology for General/Internal Medicine
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
- Deep knowledge of the medical and healthcare documentation practices in Germany
- 5+ years of experience working as a medical scribe, medical coder or in a related field
- Passion for using AI to solve health software user pain points
- Bachelor's degree with pre med career track
- Knowledge of medical terminology in specialties such as Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, etc.
- Knowledge of medical and healthcare practices in other European countries (Spain, Sweden, etc)
- Written and verbal communication skills in additional languages like Spanish or Swedish
- Knowledge of Healthcare coding systems (SnomedCT, RxNorm, LOINC, ICD 9/10/11) and Health care compliance standards (e.g. HIPAA)
- Computational Linguistics degree, experience with AI model data annotation and evaluation work
