• Mon-Thurs (7:30am-4:30pm) and Fri (7:30am - 12:30pm) - Overtime available

This is a fantastic opportunity for specialists within assembly and manufacturing to join a world leading manufacturing business with an emphasis on career progression and start of the art facilities. Based in Ely, you'll be working out of a multistorey site, with an onsite canteen, entertainment spaces and direct train routes, assembling and packaging products which are considered the gold standards in their industry.

Reporting into the unit leader, you will assist in leading other manufacturing operators to achieve manufacturing targets, drive cross-training, develop strategies and ensure orders are fulfilled on time to the desired quality standards. This is very much a hands on role with a focus on mechanical assembly and packaging and not a role that requires you to line manage people, but to provide advice, opinion and direction for other team members.

What are we looking for?

• 2-4 years experience within a manufacturing role (flexible on industry)
• Mechanical engineering bias (can read drawings)

Nice to have

• Technical qualifications (degree, HNC, HND, apprenticeship etc)
• Lean manufacturing & continuous improvement (yellow or green belt)
