A leading Clean Air company we work closely with are now seeking to employ an ambitious and hardworking Lead LEV Service Engineer to cover contracts across the South Central / M4 region. You will be acting as lead engineer on site, overseeing a team of LEV engineers, carrying out LEV testing on dust / fume extraction systems, carrying out internal and external audits, liaising with and providing clients with detailed technical reports, ensuring all work complies with HSG 258 / CoSHH standards. The role would suit an individual who is looking to cut down on national travel as our client can offer a good work / life balance and regional work. Long-term the client is looking for someone to oversee the expansion and development of their LEV division and can offer the right person structured development into a supervisor / management position, alongside opportunities to build upon your formal qualifications.
Consideration will be given to candidates with good access to the M4 / South Central and following areas: Slough, Bicester, High Wycombe, Guildford, Woking, Andover, Swindon, Windsor, Chippenham, Newbury, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Winchester.
Experience & Qualifications- At a minimum will hold the P601 - the P602 / P603 / P604 is desired but not essential.
- Experience working hands on as an engineer within a clean air / LEV company.
- Ideally have a strong background within a mechanical / engineering discipline.
- Able to communicate and organise workload efficiently.
- Will have excellent knowledge of CoSHH and HSG 258 guidelines.
- Will be proficient in using IT, internal / external systems.
- The successful candidate must be happy to travel nationally, holding a full driving license.
- Working on educational, commercial, and industrial sites, carrying out LEV testing on dust and fume extraction systems.
- Producing detailed examination reports, and liaising with clients giving excellent technical support when needed.
- Carrying out technical audits on site.
- Carrying out Class 1, Class 2, and Class 2 fume cupboard examinations.
- Carrying out emissions testing and indoor air quality testing.
- Supervising, managing, and assisting in training a team of LEV engineers.
- Managing work schedule efficient, in line with client and company requirements.
- Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with HSG 258 / CoSHH standards.
- Carrying out site visits when required, ensuring to maintain excellent rapport with clients.
