You MUST have the following:

  • Strong experience as a Senior/Lead Java Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
  • Java
  • Trade risk/Pre-trade pricing
  • Good understanding of Fixed Income, equities or commodities
  • Excellent stakeholder interaction skills
  • Agile

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

  • Credit derivatives/rates
  • Python
  • Agentic AI
  • Claude Clode, ChatGPT, CoPilot
  • Gamma/Black Scholes calculations

Role: Risk Engineer (Software Engineer Programmer Developer Java Lead Senior Risk Gamma Delta Black Scholes Pre-Trade Risk Python AI AgenticAI Claude ChatGPT CoPilot Fixed Income Credit Rates Bonds Agile Buy Side Asset Manager Investment Management Finance Front Office Trading Financial Services Banking Equities Commodities Derivatives) required by our financial client in Dublin. You will be part of a small office in a role as the dedicated developer/software engineer for pre-trade risk technology, which is all built in house. You will be part of a global team of 15 and split your time 50/50 between global projects and the needs of the Dublin office. The Dublin office is eager to build it's Fixed Income pre-trade risk analytics products. This encompasses credit and rates products - cash and derivatives, including CDS, CDO, CLO, MBS, ABS etc. These systems are built in Java with some Python. You will have good Java and ideally, pre-trade risk experience. Python is not essential, only desirable, as they have rapidly adopted AI and you will be able to use Claude Code instead.

The company has adopted ChatGPT, MS CoPilot and GitHub CoPilot and ClaudeCode. There are no limitations on the use of tokens.

It's officially 4 days/week in the office although there is some flexibility on this.

Knowledge of Fixed Income would be valuable but is not essential. The company also invests in commodities and equities.

Salary: €160k - €200k + 50% bonus + Pension
