Lead Infrastructure as Code Engineer - Azure IaaS Migration (Romania or Spain based)

We are looking for a senior Lead Infrastructure as Code Engineer to support a large-scale Azure IaaS migration for a UK platform. The role is suitable for consultants based in Romania or Spain.

You will help transform Windows-based, on-premises infrastructure into a governed, automated, and repeatable Azure IaaS model using Infrastructure as Code, automation pipelines, and cloud governance standards.

Required Skills

• Senior experience with Azure IaaS architecture, Azure Landing Zones, and cloud migration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Ansible and Terraform.
• Solid Windows infrastructure background, including Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and IIS.
• Strong PowerShell skills, including refactoring scripts into reusable IaC modules.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment, validation, and promotion.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, RBAC, Azure Policy, security controls, and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience automating multi-environment deployments across Development, Acceptance, Pre-Production, and Production.
• Design and build reusable IaC templates for Azure IaaS environments.
• Automate provisioning of Windows workloads, networking, storage, RBAC, security, and policy configurations.
• Replace manual provisioning and Legacy PowerShell-driven processes with repeatable automation.
• Create CI/CD-integrated infrastructure pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Standardise migration checks, production readiness criteria, documentation, and playbooks.
• Mentor internal engineers and contribute to cloud automation best practices.
