Job Description

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require substantial experience with Xilinx RFSoC and/or software defined radio (SDR) systems.
  • We require strong fluency in VHDL and good knowledge of designing with AMD/Xilinx technologies.
  • We require a solid understanding of DSP techniques and their mathematical underpinnings.
  • We require hands on electronics lab skills.
  • We require a good degree in electronics or a similarly applicable subject from a well regarded university.
  • We require strong A-level grades or equivalent.
  • We require full existing right to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship.
  • We require eligibility for UK SC security clearance due to defence and government work.
  • We are looking for a highly experienced engineer who can combine technical depth with leadership potential.
Responsibilities:
  • We will have you lead FPGA engineering work while remaining hands on with design and development.
  • We will have you design highly optimised FPGA solutions for digitally transforming raw optical signals into inputs suitable for machine learning algorithms.
  • We will have you own and help shape the development process.
  • We will have you mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
  • We will have you influence future product architecture.
  • We will have you work closely with our Machine Learning and RF teams.
  • We will have you use technologies such as RFSoCs, SDRs, and AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
  • We will have you contribute to ultraprecise optical fibre sensing technology for industry and national infrastructure protection.
