Job Description

Job Title: Lead Fire Damper Engineer
Location: Slough, Berkshire.
Salary / Benefits £30k - £40k + Training + Benefits

We are working closely with an industry leading and national provider of Fire Damper / Fire Safety services. They are currently looking to expand their longstanding team in the South East of England and are looking to take on a Lead Fire Damper Engineer. You will be acting as first point of contact for clients on site, providing excellent technical support and advice when required. You will also be working hands on across Hospitality, Educational, Healthcare, and Industrial sites; carrying out fire door inspections and the maintenance, installation, and servicing of fire dampers in line with BS 9999 guidelines. Experience & Qualifications
  • Will ideally hold an industry recognised qualification e.g., BESA Fire Damper certificate.
  • Experience working in a supervisory role within the fire safety industry would be beneficial to the role.
  • Extensive experience working hands on as a Fire Damper Engineer for an established Fire Safety company is essential.
  • In depth knowledge of BS 9999 guidelines.
  • Able to communicate well with customers and colleagues of all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • IT proficient.
The Role
  • Acting as first point of contact on site, liaising with clients to provide technical advice and support.
  • Carrying out the maintenance, installation, and servicing of fire dampers.
  • Carrying out detailed assessments of fire dampers, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
  • Undertaking fire door inspections.
  • Carrying out work in line with BS 9999 / Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Producing detailed reports based on site findings, ensuring reports are returned to clients in a timely manner.

Overall the successful candidate will bring their excellent technical experience working in the fire risk industry and will demonstrate a strong work ethic. Prospective candidates must also be prepared to travel extensively as per client requirements.
