Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Architect/Data Engineer to play a key role in delivering scalable Customer 360 data solutions. In this position, you will define and guide the end-to-end architecture across critical delivery streams, ensuring the platform supports advanced analytics, customer insights, and activation capabilities.

This role combines hands-on data engineering with architectural leadership. You will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to design robust, scalable data solutions aligned with the organisation's data strategy, governance standards, and technical

As Lead Architect/Data Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the end-to-end architecture for Customer 360 delivery lanes 2A and 4. Your role will be to ensure that solutions are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with the client's overall data strategy and engineering standards.

You will provide architectural direction across the full data life cycle, including data ingestion, transformation, activation, and platform integration, primarily within an ecosystem built around Snowflake, dbt Core, and supporting technologies. A key part of the role will involve guiding the design of curated data domains, identity resolution logic, and activation workflows, ensuring that the solutions delivered are reliable, scalable, and compliant with governance requirements.

The role also requires reviewing technical proposals, maintaining architectural guardrails across teams, and ensuring that solutions comply with security, privacy, and scalability requirements. In addition, you will act as a technical leader within the programme, mentoring engineers and helping offshore teams onboard quickly while maintaining consistent development practices.

The technical skills needed for this role:

We are looking for someone with strong experience in modern data platforms and data architecture, particularly within cloud-based analytics environments. Experience with Snowflake, dbt Core (on-premise), Kimball dimensional modelling, and data product design will be essential for this role.

In addition to technical expertise, you will need strong solution architecture capabilities and the ability to guide engineering teams towards consistent development principles and ways of working. Collaboration, communication, and the ability to work across distributed teams will be important to succeed in this role.

The delivery:

First focus will be on building curated and governed data products for the Customer Care and Customer Feedback domains, enabling unified customer insights and analytics.

The work involves making relevant data rapidly available in Snowflake, including customer care data, customer feedback data such as test drive feedback, and relevant social media feedback streams. The team will define and prioritise use cases within the customer care and feedback domains, map required source data from systems such as Salesforce and Medallia, and produce high-level domain designs.

The initial pilot will focus on Sweden, with future phases expanding to additional markets. Over time, the delivery lane will build curated data domains that include harmonised data models, governance frameworks, metadata management, and compliance controls to support advanced analytics and AI use cases. Ensuring compliance with GDPR and privacy standards, including PII masking and data retention rules, will also be an important part of the work.

Second focus will be on accelerating Customer Data Platform (CDP) onboarding across priority markets and enabling activation capabilities.

The work includes preparing the foundational EMEA data model required for scalable rollout, supporting activation readiness for key markets such as the UK, and enabling ingestion and activation workflows from Snowflake to the Treasure Data CDP platform.

In addition to enabling data availability, the lane will implement activation channels including Meta, Google Ads, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, while also supporting predictive capabilities such as Next Best Channel models. The role will involve participating in user acceptance testing for market launches, supporting identity resolution tuning and quality assurance, and helping execute builds and maintenance activities under the direction of customers engineering teams.
