The OpportunityOur client is recognised for delivering technically challenging projects to the highest regulatory standards. With a strong forward workload, they are investing in experienced professionals who can lead from the front and operate confidently at the interface between design, construction, and client stakeholders.
The RoleThis role has been created as part of a major programme expansion, supporting the delivery of complex, safety critical facilities within a regulated environment. You'll step into a senior site based architectural role where technical authority, compliance, and buildability are paramount-and where your expertise will genuinely influence project outcomes.
Your duties and responsibilities will be- Lead Architect reporting to the CS&A Discipline Lead Engineer and the Site Engineering Manager, and being responsible for the following:
- Completion of Building Regulations Report
- Completion of Operations and Maintenance Report
- Respond to all architectural Technical Queries, Product Permit and Concessions (site and vendor)
- Attend weekly client meetings and design reviews
- Fire related design issues / documentation
- Room Completions / handover to commissioning
- Responsible for the checking and approving architectural drawings and specifications.
- Awareness of CDM Regulations 2015 and duties as Designer.
- Degree qualified, BA(Hons) DipArch, BArch (Bachelor of Architecture), listed on the ARB and a member of the RIBA with experience.
- A pro-active, self-starter with good communication, analytical and team working skills.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
- Specification writing using NBS
- IOSH Working/Managing Safely (Required, but not essential for start)
- Design Tools/Software:
- Effective computer skills; latest editions of Microsoft Office software
- Nuclear Experience an advantage
The role will be office based with site visits as required. A safety induction will be provided.
