The Role

As a Lead & Tender Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all lead/tender activities and associated workloads within the International Sales Department (ISD), in-line with agreed KPIs, requirements and deadlines. You will provide support to all department business development and operational activities as and when required.

What will you be doing?

As a Lead & Tender Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Coordinate, track and progress all sales opportunities relating to leads and tenders, ensuring all tender submission documentation is completed accurately, in-line with tender specific requirements and deadlines and all appropriate checks have been completed. Investigating, reporting, and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise, and continually seeking improvement for the performance of the department
  • Actively engage and build relationships with new customer leads, and any associated vendors/third parties through effective and appropriate communication via scheduled meetings (virtually and face-to-face), agreed update reports, and responses to requests within agreed KPIs
  • Actively monitor customer procurement platforms and/or portals to identify all applicable tender updates and opportunities. Participate in relevant meetings/calls to obtain updates for all related tender opportunities, including but not limited to; bid conferences, bid clarifications, etc. Ensure all subsequent information is accounted for within tender submissions
  • Adhere to self-imposed and departmental KPIs, identifying activities within the wider team to maximise success and impact for the department. Work closely with the Associate Account Manager(s) and Associate Business Development Manager to support and operationalise all new business leads and maximise opportunities for department growth
  • Support, contribute and lead any related internal and external meetings, training and any such other duties, at a comparable level of responsibility that may be required for the interests and operational requirements of the department and wider business.
The Person
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • MS Excel Skills to an intermediate level.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Focused, organised with ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficient in the English language, both speaking and writing.
Experience requirements
  • Experience in a Sales, Customer Service or Tender role.
  • Experience in communicating and establishing partner relationships.
  • Experience of procurement and negotiation.
  • Experience in export and/or import processes and documentation.
