PFC Flexible Circuits Limited, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking a LDI Operator who will operate Paragon and Nuvogo laser direct imaging (LDI) units to retrieve CAM outputs and image patterns onto flex and rigid flex panels in preparation for downstream processes such as plating, etching, and solder mask developing. This individual will also support photoresist lamination (hot roll or vacuum laminators), panel cleaning, and developing.

This individual will support afternoon shift operations (4:00pm - 12:30am).

This position offers a $0.75 per hour shift differential for second shift hours of operation (4:00 pm - 12:30 am).

Responsibilities
  • Load programs from CAM350 to the LDI machines and verify job/revision, layer, polarity, scale, and tooling per work instructions.
  • Read and interpret shop order travelers and applicable work instructions to verify that all previous operations were completed, sign offs are complete, and any discrepancies are escalated.
  • Accurately record moves/completions, quantities, and scrap/rework with reason codes in the production control system. Enter required traceability details (e.g. equipment, program/revision, lots, and deviations) per procedure.
  • Set up and operate HRL/SMVL laminators per work instruction (e.g. temperature, pressure, speed, and nip settings) and verify resist lot/shelf life. Inspect laminated panels for defects and disposition per procedure.
  • Perform chemical cleaning/conditioning per process specification, completing required bath checks/logs and handling panels to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Operate the developing process per specification and complete required rinse/dry steps. Inspect for develop quality issues, make authorized adjustments, and segregate/document nonconforming product before routing to the next operation.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with flexible circuit or PCB manufacturing, photo processes, imaging, or clean/chemical processing areas desired.
  • Hands on experience operating LDI equipment and/or dry film laminators desired.
  • Familiarity with diagrams and product schematics desired.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and controlled documents is essential.
  • Must have excellent hand eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally, without assistance.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, reviewing travelers, and completing documentation required.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the business language (English).
