Job Description
We will work together as a Lawyer at the Finance, Sustainability, Law & Risks Department. The legal office is a cross-functional partner for all SIG activities, tasked with supporting business development while ensuring control over legal risks. This varied environment, closely linked to federal and cantonal energy matters, requires the legal office to be capable of intervening in multiple and rapidly changing areas. As a Lawyer in the Contracts Unit, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge in Swiss law for our energy clients in the service of a sustainable Geneva. In your role, you will be expected to: - Manage the legal aspects of various projects (investments and projects in the fields of SIG activities, easements/DDP/rentals, clients, etc.), by providing your expertise and coordinating the actions of other lawyers, with the support of specialists from other fields (technical trades, finance, marketing, etc.), to ensure the legal quality of deliverables and compliance with deadlines; - Develop and/or review quickly and reliably easement agreements/DDP/allocations, legal opinions, and other legal documents in the field of private law (mainly property law and procedures according to public procurement rules; - Provide advice to all levels of SIG employees in various areas of personality and skills.You know how to work independently while maintaining a sense of collegiality and teamwork. Your ease in communicating with internal and external clients will be recognized; you must specifically have the ability to deal with people at all hierarchical levels, most of whom have little or no legal knowledge. You are solution-oriented and possess a strong capacity for handling legal issues. A very good personal approach will allow you to work effectively across different areas.Academic background: Master's degree in Law obtained in Switzerland, possibly complemented by a certificate in related fields; professional experience of at least 2 years, preferably in business economics and in the real estate/property law sector.Joining SIG means participating in change!
