Job Description
Lawyer Job Description The General Directorate of Agriculture, Viticulture and Veterinary Affairs (DGAV) is looking for an experienced lawyer to join the team at the Marcelin site in Morges. In a context where agriculture is frequently at the heart of the Grand Council, the holder occupies a cross-cutting legal role and contributes to the coherence and legal security of the institutional positions of the DGAV, assists the management and business units in a complex and evolving regulatory environment, and participates in addressing the legal issues related to agricultural and veterinary public policies, in close collaboration with cantonal and federal bodies. Responsibilities Develop and draft drafts of laws, regulations, directives, agreements or formal decisions issued by the DGAV. Legally validate the DGAV's award decisions. Coordinate and draft responses to transversal issues and parliamentary interventions, ensuring quality, follow-up, and compliance with deadlines. Ensure the legal guidance of the renewal of agreements and public procurement procedures. Support and provide legal advice to DGAV management and staff in their respective areas. Professional experience of at least 2 years in the agricultural, viticultural, and/or veterinary affairs sectors, and at least 2 years of legal experience within a public institution and/or in the field of legislation. Excellent writing skills, particularly in drafting legal texts, and knowledge of German is required, especially for reading doctrine and case law.
