Position: Landscapes Contracts Manager

Hours: 40 hours Mon Fri

Location: Chelmsford

Role Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Essex region's Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services operations.
• Full responsibility for day to day operations and projects in the region.
• Embed performance excellence through an operating model that supports seasonal peaks and out of hours customer support.
• Lead the grounds maintenance team, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Develop growth and profitable operation of the area.
• Build and manage a professional and effective operational team.
• Implement a positive health and safety culture.
• Constantly strive to improve efficiency and utilisation of resources.
• Commit to people management and development.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Experience within the horticultural/landscaping industry.
• Excellent understanding of operational IT systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems and the management of safe systems of work.
• Ability to represent Mitie effectively at internal and external meetings.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Seeks out and takes opportunities to learn new skills as part of personal professional development.
• Leads by example in all role activities.
• Flexible working, especially during the winter period.
