As part of a consortium, Balfour Beatty has been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind, fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage. This project is a key element in making Teesside the UK's first decarbonised industrial cluster.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Land Engineering Survey Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project at our new site in Redcar.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading daily survey operations and managing survey projects
  • Maintaining and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Owning the survey lifecycle, including scoping, costing, and project management
  • Understanding project requirements and implementing innovative survey design techniques
  • Manipulating, disseminating, and presenting data using appropriate tools
  • Mentoring and training survey team members
  • Setting individual development objectives, including completing Balfour Beatty PDRs
  • Managing site records of all survey-related tasks
Who we're looking for
  • Proficiency in multiple survey software/hardware packages
  • Knowledge of and ability to check design deliverables in various digital formats
  • Experience with geodetic requirements for construction projects
  • Experience with up-to-date survey data reality capture methods
  • Knowledge of setting up local base networks and establishing connected site environments
