Laboratory Technicians (Gladsmuir) Gladsmuir Grain Store, Tranent Temporary - Harvest 2026

Hours required are variable (typically 8am-4.30pm Monday-Friday initially and moving to 7am-6pm/7pm Monday-Friday and possibly 7am-2pm Saturday at the busiest times) during harvest preparation / training but moving to 12 hour shifts at the busiest times. Night shift may be required.

• Weighing vehicles in and out of site.
• Visual examination of grain from viewing platform.
• Testing of grain using various pieces of laboratory equipment.
• Recording of results.
• Inputting results into computer spreadsheets and databases.
• Manual sampling of grain stored in sheds.

• Flexibility with working hours.
• Basic computer skills for Laboratory / Weighbridge role
• Reliable and self-motivated.
