Apprentice laboratory technician CFC option chemistry Context: The Vaud University Hospital Center (CHUV) is one of Switzerland's five university hospitals, ranking among X hospital institutions worldwide according to Newsweek. Thanks to its partnership with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of care, research, and drug analysis. The CHUV Drug Analysis Department is tasked with searching for doping substances in urine and blood samples to combat doping in sports. Within its lab, the teams look for over 500 doping products in samples, in compliance with ISO standards. Working here means learning scientific rigor in a cutting-edge technological environment where every contribution ensures patient safety. Mission: You will perform the extraction and analysis of urine samples using various processes (SPE, LLE, ). You will learn to master advanced analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS and participate in the development and validation of new analytical methods. You will ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the laboratory and its equipment. You will learn to work according to ISO standards and its quality management system. You have a methodical mind, good problem-solving skills, and perseverance. You enjoy working in a team and have a reliable and scientific curiosity, an interest in analytical chemistry, and pharmaceutical quality. Training path: This apprenticeship is conducted in partnership with EPIC in Monthey: 18 months of training at EPIC to learn the scientific and technical foundations of the profession, followed by 18 months of internship at the Drug Analysis Department, with one day of professional courses per week in Monthey.
