Job Description
Laboratory Analyst - Bristol
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00 (4:30pm finish on Fridays)
Additional: Closed over Christmas
If you are looking for your first role in a laboratory environment and have a genuine interest in science, this position is an excellent starting point. You will join a small, supportive team who will provide full training, including funding for your BOHS P401 qualification.

Main Duties
Sample Preparation - preparing and organising materials for analysis
Laboratory Testing - carrying out routine checks on samples and recording results accurately
Quality Control - ensuring all testing meets required standards and procedures
Data Entry - inputting results into internal systems with strong attention to detail
Equipment Maintenance - keeping the laboratory clean, safe, and assisting with basic equipment care
Team Collaboration - supporting colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills Required
Attention to Detail - ability to follow procedures accurately
Organisational Skills - managing samples, documentation, and workflow effectively
Communication Skills - clear written and verbal communication within the team
Basic IT Literacy - comfortable using databases and recording results
Scientific Interest - enthusiasm for laboratory work and learning new techniques
Teamwork - willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment
