Main Purpose:

Under the general supervision of a Senior Technician and Operational Support, the Laboratory Technician will prepare routine samples for Seed Health testing.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Collects, counts, and prepares vegetable seed samples for further processing and analyses.
2. Uses LIMS, MS Office, etc.
3. Responsible for compliance with regulation regarding quality- and phytosanitary policies.
4. Carries out various tasks to maintain the quality of equipment and quality certification.
5. Supports co-laboratory workers during execution of activities.
6. Secures a safe and positive work environment which is compliant with all HSE, Business Conduct and HR.

Please note that the counting and preparing of samples is repetitive.

Education:

• MBO Level 4 (Senior Secondary Vocational Education) or higher.

Experience:

• N/A - we do ask for a good attention to detail, a careful work ethic, and for someone who has integrity.
• Domain knowledge: Quality laboratory organisation and processes, customer centric mindset, demonstrates care and concern for stakeholders and team, proactive in continuous improvement, agile to work in cross-functional environment, results oriented and cost conscious.
• QMS and HSE: Apply standard operation procedure, ISO/ISTA and HSE rules to all samples. Ensure timely reporting of the results and their availability in SAP.
• Soft skills: Pro-Active, Strong relationship and networking skills.
• Language: Good communication in English (written and verbal).
• Technical skills: Experience with Microsoft Office applications required and experience with LabVantage desired.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The contract would be for until after our peak (end October), temporary contract. Salary per hour €16,63.
