KS2 Teaching Assistant

Overview

About the role: Justteachers is looking for a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming junior school in Solihull. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider team to support high-quality learning across Key Stage 2. The role will begin in September 2026 until the summer term.

The school is rated Good by Ofsted, demonstrating strong teaching, behaviour and leadership. It is a two-form entry setting for pupils aged 7-11, with a well-established cohort. Staff benefit from a collaborative team environment and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and assisting pupils with their learning across KS2.
• Work with small groups or individuals to reinforce learning and help close attainment gaps.
• Assist with classroom management, behaviour support, and the preparation of learning resources.

Pre-requisites

• Proven experience working with children in a school, nursery or relevant setting (That can be referenced).
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references.
• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
