A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Sefton is looking for an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting after the Easter break. This role is perfect for someone confident, supporting upper or lower KS2 and who is committed to helping pupils progress academically and personally.You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the KS2 curriculum, deliver small-group interventions, and help maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment.Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing classroom support across KS2 in line with the curriculum
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions in areas such as reading, writing, and maths
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and maintaining a purposeful learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs to ensure inclusive access to lessons
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting school values
  • Contributing to wider school activities when required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working within a primary school, specifically in KS2, is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are highly desirable.
  • A solid understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
  • Confident, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of the class
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, supportive, and motivating approach to working with children
