About the role:

justteachers is recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil within a Key Stage 2 classroom from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping a child overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a supportive primary school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent 1:1 classroom support tailored to the pupil's individual learning plan.
• Assist with differentiated learning activities across the curriculum.
• Promote engagement, independence, and confidence during lessons.
• Support the pupil with social interactions and emotional regulation.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies.
• Record observations and contribute to pupil progress reviews.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in Key Stage 2.
• Understanding of a range of SEN, including ADHD, autism, or learning difficulties.
• Calm, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting behaviour.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
