About the Role The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting class teachers, delivering interventions, and helping pupils build strong foundations in their early education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group phonics and literacy interventions
• Assist with planning and preparing classroom resources
• Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, structured learning environment
• Contribute confidently within the classroom and take initiative when required

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within Key Stage 1
• Confidence supporting phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3)

Desirable Qualities

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Knowledge of phonics programmes (Read Write Inc. or similar)
• A proactive and flexible approach
