KS1 Teacher - Maternity Cover

Are you an experienced KS1 Teacher looking for a maternity cover opportunity? Do you have experience teaching Year 1 or Year 2 pupils and are confident in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons?

TeacherActive is working with a Primary School in Stechford to cover a maternity leave from June 2026 until January 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with KS1 experience to contribute to the development of young learners in a supportive and well established school setting.

The successful KS1 Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high quality lessons, marking and assessing pupils, and communicating with parents. You will work closely with a supportive team to ensure that every pupil receives the best start to their education.

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Proven experience teaching Year 1 or Year 2 pupils
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment procedures
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
