KS 1 Teacher Thetford

About the role:

Justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary school in Thetford who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher for a part time role starting in September.

This school provides a caring and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Staff work together to create engaging lessons and positive classroom experiences, ensuring pupils are supported throughout their early education journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum


• Support pupils in developing reading, writing, maths, and communication skills


• Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation


• Assess pupil progress and use this to inform future planning


• Deliver effective phonics teaching and support early reading development


• Promote positive behaviour and strong classroom relationships


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification


• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1


• Knowledge of phonics and early years learning progression


• The ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences


• Strong classroom management and organisational skills


• A flexible and professional approach to part time teaching


• Two recent education based references
