IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Kitchen Production Assistant to join our delightful and hardworking team. This is a fast paced role for someone who is passionate about serving simple, good quality food. As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will support in producing our meals in our busy customer restaurant - including our meatballs and hot dishes. If you thrive in a fast paced and team focused environment, this role will allow you to experience our wonderful everyday.
WHAT WE OFFER- Start date of employment will be Sunday 9th August.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
- 16, 20 and 24 Hour contracts working 4 to 5 days per week, including 3 out of 4 weekends. Mixture of shifts between the hours of 08:00am and 09:30pm.

- Prior kitchen and catering experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands on and willing to roll up your sleeves.
- Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment. You enjoy working in a busy role, where you will be multi tasking and working to deadlines.
- Be self reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
- Ability to remain organised and detail oriented, even when things get busy.
- You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co workers.
- The kitchen is a safety first, fast paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety as well as efficient multi tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to shop, work and have fun.
- Preparing for the next day's trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost conscious way.
- Following a cleaning schedule and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.
