Kitchen Porter & Counter

We are a Chinese takeaway shop in Douglas looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter & Counter Assistant to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in the kitchen with food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Handle counter service: take customer orders, process payments, and provide good customer service.
• Pack and prepare takeaway orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive and store food deliveries, check stock, and keep the kitchen tidy.
• Support chefs and team members with daily kitchen and counter tasks.

Requirements:

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work hard, handle pressure, and be physically fit for a busy takeaway environment.
• Willingness to work afternoons to evenings, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
• Understanding spoken Chinese and knowledge of Chinese cuisine ingredients is an advantage, but not essential.
