Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy hotel kitchen team. This is a fast-paced role where you will play an important part in supporting the kitchen team and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
• Follow all health & safety and food safety procedures in line with company and legal requirements.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Wash, clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, work areas and surfaces.
• Carry out regular and scheduled deep cleaning of the kitchen and associated areas.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained to the required standard.
• Receive and safely store food and other deliveries, ensuring stock is put away correctly.
• Assist the kitchen team with preparation and other duties as required.
• Work closely with chefs and the wider kitchen team to help maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Ensure waste is managed and disposed of safely and correctly.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.

About You:
You will be a reliable, hardworking team player who takes pride in maintaining high standards. Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a busy environment is essential.
