Job Title : Kitchen Porter
Hours : 12 hours per week
Rate of Pay : £12.71 ph
Location : Hastings Hotel

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the kitchen.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules as set by the Head Chef.
- Clean and maintain kitchen utensils, equipment, crockery, and cookware to a high standard.
- Use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE) safely and in accordance with guidelines.
- Promptly report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Support the wider team by assisting in other departments during busy periods, as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a positive approach to teamwork and changing business needs.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHH.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A team player with a flexible and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
