The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting a Kitchen Porter on behalf of Forbes of Kingennie - a stunning resort destination nestled in the heart of Angus.
Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort, near Dundee, provides a Scottish getaway with luxury lodges, leisure activities, an exceptional restaurant and events venue where quality, creativity, and presentation are paramount.

This position provides valuable hands-on exposure to food preparation, kitchen operations, and health & safety practices, with both full-time and part-time hours available (16-40 hours) to offer flexibility.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Kitchen Porter, you will support the wider kitchen team and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your duties will include:
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, cutting, peeling, and washing ingredients
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and floors
- Supporting the team to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently at all times
- Monitoring and replenishing stock levels of cleaning products and supplies
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures, including the safe use of equipment and compliance with safe systems of work
- Occasionally interacting with guests and colleagues, helping to maintain a positive and professional environment
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards
- An understanding of health and safety practices (or willingness to learn)
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
