Role overview

Kitchen Porter - join our catering team. This vital role supports the smooth running of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries using stock rotation methods.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and delivery areas, including sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning duties.
• Assisting with basic food preparation, such as vegetable prep, when required.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Monitoring and reporting stock levels of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks from start to finish using initiative.
• Strong team player with a commitment to high standards and customer service.
• Willingness to follow policies and procedures, especially regarding health and safety.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to handle simple paperwork.
• Flexible and open to participating in training and development opportunities.
