Kitchen Porter - Notcutts Garden Pride Garden Centre

Full time position - 37.5 hours per week, Weekdays only Monday to Friday. An element of flexibility required for holiday/sickness cover. Day time hours, No evenings, nights or split shifts

Notcutts is a family owned National Garden Centre Group. We're now looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter for our Garden Pride Garden Centre restaurant. What we're looking for Super cool under pressure with a passion for maintaining high standards of efficiency and cleanliness within a kitchen environment. An excellent communicator who knows how to work well as part of a team.

As the Kitchen Porter, you'll take responsibility for keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks (if required)
• Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
• Ensuring all cleaning schedules are followed
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail and cleanliness
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Our restaurant is open during Garden Centre hours (No evenings, nights or split shifts!)
