If so, we'd love to hear from you.Cygnet Group are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cygnet Wast Hills.Working 40 hours per week on a 7-day rota (4 x 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm), you'll help prepare and serve meals, maintain high hygiene standards and contribute to a welcoming environment for the people we support.Cygnet Wast Hills provides dedicated, person-centred support to men with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs in a robust environment.The service has a number of independent and communal living spaces for the individuals we support, to maximise opportunities to progress through their care pathway towards greater independence.Your Day-to-Day Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising mealsPerform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen dutiesWash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriatelySort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock orderingMaintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienicHandle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet proceduresUse chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.You are Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care settingEnthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team memberPolite & professional, with a positive attitude at all timesAn excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levelsAble to work on your own initiative & under supervisionDiligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.Why Cygnet?
