Job Description
Overview 
As a Kitchen Assistant you will serve food sourced from Apetito to support residents' wellbeing through a nutritious diet. You will maintain high standards in the kitchen and during food preparation, and be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach.
Responsibilities- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs of the home and participate in appropriate training; encourage and support staff in their development.
- Understand safeguarding responsibilities and work to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect of adults who need care and support; uphold choice and control for adults and adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies.
- Provide evidence of any training undertaken.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
- Previous experience in a Care Home is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
