Job Description
Second Chef (Care UK) 
- Lead the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation.
- Develop nutritious and diet sensitive meals for residents.
- Plan menus and design seasonal produce options.
- Control stock and adhere to food cost guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
- Train, supervise and develop the kitchen team.

Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:
- Experience leading a kitchen team in a care setting.
- Strong menu planning and stock control skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards.
- Ability to train and motivate staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
- Prepare produce for mealtimes, including vegetable prep and sandwich making.
- Ensure correct storage of dry and perishable produce.
- Safely store cleaning materials and maintain hygiene of utensils and pots.
- Carry out tasks assigned by Head/Second Chef or Home Manager.

Qualifications:
- Willingness to undertake food hygiene qualification within 12 weeks.
- Experience in catering services is beneficial.
- Organisational and communication skills.
