Job Description
Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Oak Lodge Care Home, 45 Freemantle Common Road, Bitterne, Southampton SO19 7NG
Hours: Full time, 33 hours per week
Pay: £13.30 - £14.30 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities- Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
- Assist chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and maintaining clean and tidy preparation areas.
- Monitor stock rotation, adhere to company policies and procedures, and follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
- Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
- Passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Commitment to delivering excellent service at each meal and making residents feel at home.
- Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and care home teams.
