Kitchen Assistant

Job Description: Kitchen Assistant at Hatfield Peverel Lodge Care Home, Chelmsford CM3 2NZ. Salary £12.75 per hour. Permanent part time, 20 hours per week (8am 6pm, 2 days a week including alternate weekends).

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation, comply with company policies and procedures, and follow mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Qualifications

• A passion for food and previous experience working in a kitchen.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Ability to deliver excellent service at each meal and make residents feel at home.
• Comfortable communicating with kitchen and care home teams and cherishing moments with residents.
