Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

The successful Key stage 2 Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the key stage, providing high-quality classroom support, 1:1 assistance, and small-group work. This role also includes some PPA cover when the class teacher is out of the classroom, making it ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is confident and proactive.
Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities: Support teaching and learning across the department as a Teaching Assistant Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils Assist with planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging activities Cover the class during PPA time when required as a level 3 Teaching Assistant Support children's personal, social, and emotional development Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing learning environment Help assess progress and contribute to observations and records Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom setting Follow safeguarding policies and procedures as a trusted Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant - Requirements: Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Essestial) Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant Confidence supporting pupils across Key stage 2 Experience covering classes during PPA time is highly desirable Strong understanding of the curriculum Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
